Itinerary:Vlora-Saranda-Butrinti-Gjirokastra-Permet-Korca-Pogradec-Ohrid-Elbasan-Berat-Durres-Kruje-Tirane

Day 1.  Arrival in Albania (Transfer to Vlora) 140 km

Meet and assist at the airport (14:15, transfer to Vlora a historical and costal city.Accommodation in hotel  4 star. Dinner at the hotel. Overnight in Vlora.

Day 2  Vlora – Saranda  (120 km)

After breakfast in hotel, the trip proceeds along the Ionian coastal line or as known Albanian Riviera is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful and unspoiled regions in Albania.

Short visit to Oricum, which was established in the 7th – 6th century B.C. Julius Caesar, stationed his troops in camps there for several months, until they were taken by Pompey (Pompeius Magnus). Stopover to Dhermi, a large and beautiful village with about 30 old churches picturesquely placed on the rough mountainside. Lunch in ancient city of Himara After lunch continue to Saranda,a short visit to  Porto Palermo bay, the castle of Ali Pasha Castle .Afternoon arrive to Saranda City. Accommodation in hotel Brillant 4 *. Or similar.

In the evening, city tour in Saranda (incl visit in the synagogue), visit to “Lekursi Castle” Dinner at the restaurant (built on the ruins of the old castle). Overnight in Saranda.

Day 3. Saranda-Butrint-Gjirokastra (85 km)

Breakfast at the hotel, departure to Butrinti Archaeological Site, Part of UNESCO World Heritage. Visit the Temple of Asclepius, the Baptistery, Nymph, The Theatre, Leons Gate, Acropolis, etc.After lunch departure to Gjirokastra, city UNESCO World Heritage. In Gjirokastra the dwelling houses have the form of medieval towers constituting a building ensemble with a characteristic architecture.  Visit to the Castle and the Museum of Weapons. Accommodation in hotel  3 *. Dinner optional at the hotel .Overnight in Gjirokastra.

Day 4. Gjirokaster –Permet- Korca (150 km)                                                                                       

After breakfast departure to Korca, along the way you’ll be amazed from the natural beauty of southeast area. In the valley of Vjosa river you’ll see the beautiful canyons of Kelcyra outfall. You can have lunch here and taste the traditional cookery such as baked wild birds…etc. In the evening arrival to Korca- the serenades city. Accommodation in  hotel  3*.Dinner optional at the hotel. Overnight  in Korca.

Day 5  Korca- Pogradec – Ohrid (80 km)                                                                                             

After breakfast visit the Museum of Medieval Arts and the Mosque of Mirahori one of the oldest in the country built in 1469, the Orthodox Church and other important monuments. Continuing to Pogradec, at Ohrid Lake. Lunch at a local restaurant where you can taste the famous fish of the Lake, Alkoran. Departure to Ohrid,Maqedonia.Accommodation in hotel  Belvedere 4 *. Dinner optional, overnight in hotel.

Day 6  – Full day Ohrid and Ohrid lake sightseeing

Morning walking tour (3 hours) in old Ohrid with visit of most famous Ohrid sites – Church of Mother of God, the Icon gallery, the ancient theatre, Ohrid fortress, new St. Clement’s church, church of St. John, Kaneo and the main church of St. Sofia. Time at leisure in old Ohrid or optional lunch. Afternoon departure to St Naum monastery at the south part of the lake. Visit in the monastery and optional boat ride above the springs of Black Drim river. Dinner and overnight in Ohrid.

Day 7  – Ohrid –Elbasan-Berat (190 km)

After breakfast at hotel proceed to Struga, Continue to Elbasan, “Skampa” ancient Castle which belongs to 15’Th century. Continue to Berat UNESCO World Heritage ,city which is known as “the city of  thousand windows” to make known the 2400 years of history. Afternoon the visit proceeds to the museum quarter Mangalemi and Gorica, Accommodation in 3 stars hotel. Dinner and overnight in Berat.

Day 8 –Berat-Durres-Kruja-Tirana (170 km)

Continue to Durres,visit in Durres were you will learn about the 3000 years story of the largest Port-City in Albania. Visit to the fortress built in the IV-V-th century BC visit to the Roman amphitheatre with a capacity of 20000 spectators and the Venetian Tower. Proceed to Kruja medieval town. This is one of the most visted towns in Albania also for the reason because its history is closely realted with the national hero Skanderbeg. Visit in the castle houseing the national Historical museum and the Ethnographic museum to get more info about the tradtions of the area. After that some free time at the typical bazaar for souvenir shopping. Late in the afternoon transfer to Tirana (the capital of Albania) Accommodation in 3/4 stars hotel .Overnight in Tirana.

Day 9 – Sightseeing Tirana/Departure from Albania

After breakfast in the hotel, depart for the sightseeing tour of Tirana, starting from the Skanderbeg square. Visit in the, E`them Bey Mosque, Clock Tower etc. Then continue to the main boulevard where are found the different ministries, Academy of Fine Arts, Main corpus of University etc Transfer to “Mother Teresa” airport,(20 km) departure from Albania.
